We Need You!!

In the vital area of diabetes there is an urgent need for volunteers who can tackle
responsibilities and show leadership. We know that you have an interest in diabetes because you made the effort to log on to this web site. Perhaps your interest was sparked because you have diabetes. Perhaps it was because of a loved one with diabetes, or a general academic interest. No matter, you already understand the consequences of diabetes. It has become more than a word in the dictionary.

When you see or read about someone with diabetes in distress, your impulse is to help. The question is how to translate that generous spirit into action. The answer is: volunteer "We need you!"

Almost 35 years ago, the following was inserted in a newsletter by "The Christophers", - (Better to light one candle than curse the darkness." It was titled, "DON'T
UNDERESTIMATE YOURSELF."

The bumblebee doesn't know it - but, according to the applied laws of aerodynamics, it should not be able to fly. The size, weight and shape of this husky bee's body - in relation to its total wingspread indicate that it should never get off the ground. Extensive laboratory tests and wind tunnel experiments by experts confirm this conclusion. However the bumblebee, unaware of these findings, continues to zoom through the air whenever and wherever it pleases.

No matter how others may rate your capabilities, do not underestimate any of your
leadership skills. The Almighty has placed them in your keeping and expects you to use the skills for the good of others as well as yourself. You may be pleasantly surprised that you can accomplish far more than you , or anyone else, imagines.

So you ask, "What can I do? Start where you are. Call me at (225) 927-0317 and I can help you find the answer to that question. We have many openings for your talents. There are no barriers! You can be President if you can handle it! The point is that you can make a difference.
