Diabetes in the workplace.

I've been type one diabetic for twenty-four years.
What I'm wondering is has there ever been a study involving working diabetics?
How they work with their management and the like?
You see I work retail and have had really bad blood sugar problems. I've also been
threatened by my bosses. To clock/time out in order to treat/test blood sugar. I feel
this is rather unfair. Any information you could spare would be great!
