Good experience with the GlucoWatch

My wife, who has Type 1 diabetes, got her GlucoWatch a couple of months ago. She has been wearing it at night while she
sleeps because she was afraid she might be going "low" at night. The GlucoWatch alarmed at night when she was having episodes
of low blood sugar. We downloaded the readings from the GlucoWatch into the Analyzer software which can show the readings in
trend graphs. We were able to see that she was having low blood sugars overnight around 4:00 am. Although this was probably
happening for a long time, she would normally sleep through it. This condition, called nocturnal hhypoglycemia, can be very dangerous.
She took the print outs to her endocrinologist and he was able to adjust her Lantus insulin and she is no longer having hypoglycemic
episodes over night.

We are very thankful to have the GlucoWatch. With regular monitoring she have to wake up in the middle of the night to check her
sugar. But how do you know what time to get up and check? If she had checked around 2:30 or 3:00 she would have seen normal
readings. The watch checks her sugar automatically all night.
